About SnoozeShift
SnoozeShift exists because night shift workers get the worst sleep advice on the internet. "Just keep a regular schedule." "Avoid screens before bed." Fine — now do it at 9 in the morning, in summer, with roadworks outside and a toddler in the next room.
We write for the people the regular advice forgets: nurses on 12-hour nights, security guards, factory and warehouse crews, truck drivers, call center staff, and everyone else whose workday starts when the rest of the world is winding down.
Who we are
SnoozeShift is written and maintained by the SnoozeShift Team — a small group that has worked nights and spent years collecting what actually works from the shift workers we talk to. Every guide is reviewed and updated when the advice or the products change. Spot something wrong? Email hello@snoozeshift.com or use our contact page.
How we test gear
Every product we recommend has to pass one test: does it work for sleeping in daylight? Blackout curtains get judged on actual light leak at noon, not on how dark they make a room at midnight. White noise machines get judged on whether they can cover a doorbell at 11am without waking you up themselves. If a product is merely "good for normal sleepers," we say so and move on.
How the site makes money
Some links on this site are affiliate links — if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That is what keeps the site running. It does not buy a recommendation: the products that failed our daylight test are named as failures, commissions or not.
A note on health
Everything here is general wellness information from research and experience, not medical advice. Shift work sleep disorder is a real diagnosis. If you are falling asleep on duty, or you cannot sleep no matter what you change, that is a conversation for a doctor, not a blog.
